Creating a Matter Room
Matter Rooms represent your transactions or cases. Invite your clients and counterparties to a Matter Room in order to validate their details.
Create a Matter Room
Summary of Steps

Admin or Partners only. On your dashboard homepage, click > Create Matter Room (blue button near top right).

Input details. Fill in a matter room name and internal matter number (mirroring your own records). Once done, select > Next.

Invite colleagues. Click the drop down arrow to see the full list of users from your firm. Select which ones you want to invite and click > Add. Continue until you have added all relevant users for this matter.

Assign permissions. Click the drop down arrow on each user to assign permissions for this Matter Room only.

The default is ‘Participant’. They can view search results as well as invite clients and counterparties to the Matter Room.

Senior permissions are given to ‘Admins’. They are able to create / edit / close the Matter Room as well as add new law firm users. Each matter room requires a minimum of 2 Admins (the creator, plus another).

Finish. Click > Create Matter. You will be taken to dashboard and new Matter Room will be displayed in active matters section.
